The final two paintings in this series featuring the goddess came through some weeks after I thought the series was complete. More of the story of the sacred wanted to be told, but it wasn't about painting an image of the goddess with a recognizable human face. Instead, higher celestial realms and inter-dimensional space asked to be represented. In the Andean tradition, of which I am a student, this realm is known as Hanaq Pacha.
To create this, I departed from the technique used earlier in the series, allowing form to soften while still holding an intentional composition. A very wet canvas was laid with layers of diluted acrylic, alternating with layers of water and paint, and finished with dry brushing.
